TESCO KİPA PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
UK Based retail chain Tesco commenced a worldwide renewable energy and energy efficiency efforts as part of its global warming and raising environmental awareness program. Tesco Kipa A.Ş., Turkey operation of Tesco, which aims to reduce CO2 emission by 50% by 2020, integrated 30kWp grid-tie solar power (PV) system to its Marmaris store.
Kipa Marmaris PV system occupies an important position in Turkish renewable energy history by being the first grid-tie system at such scale in Turkey, aims to transmit solar power to its customers through directing the electricity produced at the rooftop to register boxes. The LCD screens located at the entrance of the store provides customers with real time, daily and total energy production and prevented CO2 emission data.
